This is my first post for my Multimedia for Online Teaching class. I've spent the last 10 years running my own training and coaching business. I have also worked as a nail technology instructor and I am excited to discover ways to engage students and hold their attention long enough for them to learn something new. Over the next 8 weeks I plan to learn everything I can from my very capable classmates. I see this as an opportunity to start a global conversation to teach the world's children to solve the world's problem. What does it take to create lifelong learners? How do we teach the critical thinking skills necessary to solve the world’s problems? When learners can find all the information they could ever want right at the end of a Google search, how do we help them discern good information from bad? How do we teach them to analyze all the data and make good choices based on facts and not fiction? I am also taking an Motion Picture and TV course. I hope to combine the skills learned in these two classes to produce professional online learning content.

AuthorHi, I'm Lois and teaching is my final career. It is a privilege to help students to close the achievement gap. Too many learners, young and old alike, need new skills and new ways of learning to meet the demands and challenges of the information age. Archives
